Located just over an hour’s drive North from Sydney’s CBD Palm Beach has the ability to make you feel instantly relaxed and in holiday mode so what better place to spend your long weekend! Surrounded by beautiful beaches, boutique shops and gorgeous local cafes and restaurants there is something to do for any occasion.

Our team at Palm Beach Holiday Rentals has put together a little guide of our favourite things to do around Palm Beach to ensure you get the absolute best experience while staying with us in Palm Beach.

Barrenjoey Lighthouse walk – Barrenjoey Lighthouse sits at Sydney’s most northern point – Barrenjoey Head at Palm Beach. Positioned 91m above sea level, the lighthouse can be reached by a couple of walks and offers outstanding views.

The lighthouse is one of the most iconic sights on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and boasts a notable cultural heritage. To get there, take an easy and picturesque walk along Barrenjoey track for 1km, from the top you will experience stunning panoramic views of Broken Bay, Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and the Central Coast so be sure to take a camera!

The Boathouse Palm Beach – feeling peckish for lunch? The Boathouse Palm Beach is known for its Ber Battered Flathead + Chips, or if you are after something lighter opt for the Grilled Barramundi or Boathouse Salad. While away the early afternoon watching the boats pass by, you may also catch the seaplane taking off in front of you!

Barrenjoey House – there is no better people-watching spot quite like Barrenjoey House, a heritage listed restaurant opposite the wharf in Palm Beach. You will feel like you have stepped into a beach house, with shelves filled with coral and tables of fresh flowers. Sip on your favourite cocktail (happy hour is 4pm – 6pm weekdays) and make your way through the seafood menu. The lobster flatbread is a must try!
